Burns night is almost here — and you're invited! Celebrate the 250th birthday of Scottish poet Robert Burns this Saturday, January 31 at 6 p.m. in the Christ Church parish hall, 2000 Main Street. It's pot luck: Bring a Scottish dish (mashed turnips, mashed potatos, fish of some sort, short breads, the haggis is provided, favorite Scottish drink for your toast). In the spirit of the famously frugal Scots, admission is just $3 — such a deal! There's revelry and music — If you play an instrument, and would like to rehearse, come to the parish hall on Friday Eve at 7:30 p.m.
